Overview

At Ajivasan, we believe that every child has a unique way of expressing themselves. Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) is a creative and therapeutic approach that uses movement, rhythm and body awareness to support the emotional, social, cognitive and physical development of students with special needs.

Through guided movement activities, music and expressive dance, students are encouraged to explore their emotions, build self-confidence and enhance communication skills in a safe and supportive environment. DMT goes beyond learning dance techniques—it focuses on using movement as a tool for self-expression, connection and overall well-being.

Our sessions are tailored to meet the individual abilities and needs of each student, ensuring that every child can participate meaningfully and experience success. Through joyful movement experiences, students develop greater independence, self-esteem and a deeper connection with themselves and others.

Dance Movement Therapy at our Academy is not just about movement, it is about empowering students to communicate, connect and thrive through the universal language of dance.
